Get started with connectors

Connect an app from the directory, turn it on in a conversation, and manage or disconnect it later.

1. Open Connected apps in desktop Settings or the Connect page on the bridge.
2. Pick an app. Token apps ask for a secret once; OAuth apps open a browser when client credentials are configured.
3. Wait for Test connection to succeed. Status becomes connected only after a live probe.
4. Credentials land in OPENCLAW_STATE_DIR/openbot-connectors/ (AES-256-GCM). openclaw.json gets ${ENV} placeholders only.
5. Disconnect removes the credential and disables that MCP server entry.

A long-running gateway may need a restart before it sees a newly written token in runtime.env.
