Quickstart

From a clean machine to a working chat with a cloud or local model.

Clone combinedbot and check out your working branch.
On the Mac: run ./launch-mac.sh. It points OPENBOT_API_BASE_URL at your public AI host and starts the local sand gateway on 127.0.0.1:3199.
On the server: ensure openbot-bridge is running (systemctl --user status openbot-bridge) and the OpenClaw gateway is healthy.
Sign in as the owner. Open Settings → Models & accounts and connect a provider (device-code for ChatGPT, Claude Code login / setup-token, or an API key).
Send a message from the composer. Optionally open Computer to wake the forever-box sandbox.

Chat always goes through openclaw agent via the bridge. The bridge does not call model vendors directly for replies.
